New Vision Veterinary Hospital is in partnership with Welttierschutzstiftung (WTS), which is a Germany charitable foundation that promotes animal welfare worldwide.With its main programme VETS UNITED, WTS supports animal health and welfare education in educational institutions and continuous professional development (CPD) in emerging and developing countries mainly in Africa.
This foundation works in close cooperation with educational instructions, veterinary associations and local government departments. It provides technical supports and or financial support to the projects conducted by their partners until they can be fully and sustainably operated by those partners. New Vision Veterinary Hospital (NVVH) has the main mission for improving animal health and welfare in Rwanda by emphasizing on modern veterinary diagnostic techniques, treatment, clinical services, improvement of animal nutrition and production.
NVVH and Rwanda Council of Veterinary Doctors (RCVD) as the key partners have been supported by WTS since January 2020 to implement the CPD programme entitled “Train the Trainer workshops to build decentralized Animal welfare CPD program for vets and vets technicians in Rwanda”. Preliminary this programme will be implemented in 5 districts of Rwanda and afterwards the whole country will be covered.
The general mission will be to improve health and welfare of domestic animals in Rwanda.Leave a reply
